Brandon Oaks Apartments in Cypress, Texas
Brandon Oaks Apartments in Cypress, Texas
On October 31, 2006, my wife passed away unexpectedly. I was by her side at the hospital throughout the hours while she was in intensive care. The apartment staff was aware that something had happened, as paramedics were dispatched to our apartment. Needless to say, during the following hours, I was unable to drop off a rent check due to making funeral arrangements. I received a Notice to Vacate posted on my door by the manager. When I approached them about this, she was completely unreasonable. It was as if the rent check was more important than the fact that my wife had just passed away that morning! I did drop off a check, and gave notice to vacate in 30 days, and began moving things out. On the 24th day, I came home to find that the locks had been changed. While I had moved the majority of my things out, there were a number of items inside the unit - including my wife's wedding set. According to the manager, Angela Swindle, there was nothing in the apartment. I have been fighting this through the corporate office. After all of this time, nothing has been resolved, and my wife's personal items (which are very sentimental to me) have vanished.

Please, save yourself the grief. Find a better place to live!!!
